Pediatric Department

The department of pediatrics in caritas hospital provide comprehensive health care service for children and adolescents below the age of 15 we offer a multidisciplinary approach to care with expert pediatric specialists as a team along with experts in other specialties The consultants here rare a vast experience in almost  every sub –specialty of pediatric medicine and provide tertiary health care to all pediatric patients

General Paediatrics
We provide comprehensive primary care to children from birth through adolescence consultant pediatrician ,neonatologist and junior consultants are available on the clock service though out the day
Paediatric Allergy and respiratory Diseases
The department conducts allergy and respiratory clinic every Saturday(10 -2 pm)with facilities for spirometry ,PFT and allergy testing
Paediatric Developmental and Behavioural Medicine
We provide comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents who have developmental and behavioural problems along with child pscychologist and speech therapist
Pediatric nutrition clinic:
We are initiating a pediatric nutrition camp once in a month incorporating the dietary  department  and dietician
Paediatric Nephrology 
In collaboration with Nephrology Department, Department of Paediatrics provides diagnosis and management of kidney disorders .the dialysis unit in the hospital helps in the management of end stage renal failure
Pediatric neurology
An epilepsy clinic is being  planned with the help neurologist and Seizure disorder children  are followed up
Vaccination:
Almost  all newly available vaccines and the routine vaccines are given in our vaccination center .vaccinations are given daily and BCG vaccination twice a week

We have a 20 bedded general ward, separate isolation ward and diarrhea treatment unit in the pediatric ward .pediatic intensive care unit(PICU) is 3 bedded with a 1:1 ratio of nursing staff providing all emergency and comprehension management of side children.ICU is  equipped with one ventilator pulse oximeter,NIBP monitor ,Nebulization etc.

Out patent consultation are given to almost 250-300 patents /day.our children patents are dealt very delicately, friendly and with compassion .our OPD waiting area have a friendly environment  for  children our pediatric patent are encouraged to take part in various competition  on children’s day , ORS day celebration and adolescents week celebration
