Anesthesia

The department of Anesthesia provides state of art care for patients undergoing all types of surgical procedures, and handled by precise and unique professionals with high expertise in this field. The department is equipped with the latest and advanced amenities for managing critically ill patients. Caritas has already acquired great command over the management of high risk and complicated surgeries and the department is equipped with state of art monitoring and life saving equipments such as

• Latest anesthesia workstations and monitors like invasive pressure monitoring, Entropy and anesthesia gas monitors
• Ventilators
• Ultrasound guided line insertion and nerve blocks
• Echo machine
• All gadgets for difficult intubations including fibreoptic bronchoscope, video laryngoscope and intubating LMA.

The department provides anesthesia services to various surgical specialties and super specialties distributed in eight well equipped theatres. The service of the department also extends to the procedure outside the theatres like radiation, ERCP etc.
The department runs a Pre anesthesia clinic where the surgical patients are seen as outpatient basis. Patients admitted for surgeries will be visited by a consultant anesthetist on the previous day of surgery. Labor analgesia also rendered by the department as and when required.

PERIOPERATIVE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
We have a well equipped perioperative intensive care unit under anesthesia department. Perioperative patients are managed in this ICU which is equipped with advanced ventilators and invasive monitoring.one   Consultant   from anesthesia  department   is available round  the clock    in the ICU.   Critical Patients are managed by a well trained and dedicated team of nurses with a 1:1 patient/nurse ratio.
